Bitcoin is the silver bullet.

Trump didn’t get followers because they trusted him; he got followers because they mistrusted the existing players. Using fear as a tool, he appealed to their passion and ignorance about him to whip them into a frenzy. Likewise, many didn’t vote for Biden as much as they voted against Trump.

Governance and leadership are about Trust. Trust is hard to build and easy to lose. Trump has squandered trust at every turn, lies, trading cards, document theft, bogus branded meat, and universities. The US government has been losing trust faster than it can be rebuilt. Lobbying, cover-ups, mismanagement, and general inaction so politicians can preserve their electability at the expense of serving the public good.

All anyone needs to do to sweep the next election is come up with someone trustworthy. I suspect anyone who fits that bill is too smart to climb into the present-day political cesspool. So the alternative is to find someone who gives the appearance of trustworthiness. And the current corrupt system will grind them to dust. It’s a no-win situation for everyone.

That leaves us with only one realistic alternative for change, revolution. Not a revolution of guns; capitalist wars are fought with money. And Bitcoin is the silver bullet. Bitcoin removes the need to “trust” a third party, like a central bank or government. The value of money is derived from the people who use it to transact business rather than a central bank that favors the rich over everyone else.

As control of money inevitably moves away from government and banks, who have proven they do not deserve our trust. And into control of individuals who want to live a life free from oppression. Deceit and corruption become harder to keep hidden. Some say, “Without banking and government control, the whole economy will collapse.” I say that banking and government may be the reason the economy falls into ruin; it’s happened regularly, many times before.

History does not repeat itself, but it is a great teacher.

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”
