I refuse to debate all the other candidates for president.
What is it about debates that scare the bejesus out of presidential candidates?
They can’t control the narrative.
More accurately, what about this political illusion of control makes politicians think they exercise any power in that respect? I understand that some people exercise more critical thinking over their favorite sports team than they do over presidential candidates.
I also know that even in the media, we’re getting tired of that monotone line clearly coming from a teleprompter, not from the heart. Nobody really cares about the party line. Thanks to Donald Trump, we’re much more interested in the personal integrity of the individuals we’re electing to stand for leadership. 53% of registered voters don’t think he is trustworthy.
We don’t need shepherds. We need leaders: leaders or someone who can identify problems beyond the obvious symptoms. And then identify solutions and create a vision that people can get behind. The logic of this process helps dispel the fear. The current political class looks like clowns waving their hands at every shadow, screaming wolf wolf wolf.

It’s no wonder that Robert Kennedy Jr is rising in the popularity polls and has a higher favorability rating than many of the other 2024 presidential candidates because he can speak on his feet, articulate critical reasoning, he identifies problems facing everyday people. And while he hasn’t articulated a platform on every possible social ill, he has demonstrated the ability to think critically and keep the people rather than personal profits at the forefront.
The DNC and the RNC are most scared of not losing votes but just general transparency. There is an illusionist of power in secrecy. It’s akin to the denial exhibited by those who are chemically dependent. It’s primarily based in the belief that nobody else really knows. They know!
With traditional media stratified into their respective political pigeonholes and the proliferation of information thanks to the internet, people have the option to consider the facts and think critically. And some people are held hostage by the Facebook and Twitter-sphere. But the facts are out there. Anyone over 25 has been forced to sharpen their BS detector or retreat from society altogether. When they return from playing video games, there will be a reckoning.
Rather than debates, I’d like to see the candidates sit down at a roundtable and discuss the issues facing America. Not the issues politicians want to discuss but the problems most Americans are living with minimum-wage, prescription drugs, and corporate inflation abuses. This would help voters understand who possesses leadership qualities and the Me-Too candidates. Politicians must realize that control is a losing game; truth through humility reflects one’s humanity, and all people, regardless of party, race, sex, and denomination, want leaders they can relate to.
The political class, both Republican and Democrat, have lost touch with America. A mentor of mine us to say, “Don’t vote; it just encourages them.” I have to agree.
